Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, speaking in February 2026, offered a critical assessment of Donald Trump’s behavior following his 2020 election loss. Clinton argued that losing to Joe Biden had a profound impact on Trump, claiming it left him emotionally consumed by the defeat. She further contended that this reaction contributed to the events surrounding January 6 and said that Trump’s language, demeanor, and public conduct appear markedly different from a decade ago, describing him as increasingly fixated on the election outcome.

In January 2019, UFC fighter Polyana Viana was waiting outside her apartment for an Uber when a man approached her and asked for the time. After she answered, he remained seated beside her, raising her suspicions. Quietly, she slipped her phone into her pocket.

Moments later, the man demanded her phone and claimed he was armed, reaching toward what appeared to be a handgun. Viana took a closer look and noticed something unusual — the weapon looked soft and seemed fake.

Acting quickly, she struck him with two punches and a kick, sending him to the ground. She then secured a rear-naked choke, one of her signature MMA techniques, and took control of the situation.

“I threw two punches and a kick. He fell, then I caught him in a rear naked choke,” Viana later recalled. “Then I sat him down in the same place we were before and said, ‘Now we'll wait for the police.’”

The would-be robber offered little resistance. According to Viana, he was so frightened of being beaten further that he cooperated and even asked her to call the police.

When authorities arrived, they discovered that his "gun" was nothing more than a piece of cardboard.

At the time, Viana was an active UFC strawweight competitor with 10 victories in 12 professional fights, many of them won by submission. Ironically, the same rear-naked choke she used to detain the suspect had helped her win her UFC debut less than a year earlier.

After holding the man until police arrived and completing her report at the station, Viana simply returned home and made herself dinner.

NEW: President Donald Trump is urging Israel and Iran to immediately halt further military strikes as tensions escalate and threaten ongoing diplomatic efforts.

The appeal follows a fresh exchange of attacks, with Iran launching missiles toward Israel and Israel carrying out retaliatory strikes despite efforts by the United States to preserve a fragile ceasefire and advance broader peace negotiations. Trump has publicly called on both sides to stop the violence, warning that continued escalation could jeopardize prospects for a negotiated agreement.

The latest flare-up has raised concerns that the region could slide back into a wider conflict just as diplomatic talks appear to be gaining momentum.

Critics are raising concerns after President Donald Trump announced that Bill Pulte, the current head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, will serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence through January 2027.

Pulte's background is primarily in housing finance, overseeing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, rather than military, intelligence, or national security affairs. Opponents argue that leading the nation's intelligence community—which includes agencies such as the CIA and NSA—requires specialized expertise that Pulte does not possess.

The appointment has drawn scrutiny because of Pulte's recent actions at the FHFA, where he referred several political figures to the Justice Department over alleged mortgage-related issues. Supporters viewed those moves as accountability measures, while critics accused him of using his office to target political opponents.

Some lawmakers from both parties have questioned whether the intelligence community should be led by a career national security professional rather than a finance regulator. They argue that the role demands independence, experience, and the ability to manage sensitive intelligence operations free from political influence.

Texas Democrat James Talarico criticized Attorney General Ken Paxton, alleging that Paxton's personal wealth has surged while many Texans continue to struggle financially. Talarico claimed that Paxton now owns multiple homes and accused him of benefiting from wealthy donors while opposing policies that would expand overtime pay and strengthen healthcare access. He argued that such actions reflect deeper problems within the political system that make it harder for working families to get ahead.

President Donald Trump abruptly ended a pre-recorded interview with NBC News' Kristen Welker after a heated exchange over election integrity and allegations of voter fraud.

During the discussion, Welker challenged Trump's claims about "rigged" elections and questioned the evidence behind his concerns about vote counting. Trump responded by sharply criticizing both Welker and NBC News, accusing the network of bias.

As tensions escalated, Trump declared he had had enough of the interview, removed his microphone, and walked off the set.

Welker noted that she had traveled to Wisconsin for the interview, while Trump argued that they had already spent considerable time filming in difficult weather conditions.

Despite the contentious ending, Welker later said the two spoke afterward and that Trump appeared open to participating in a future follow-up interview.

The exchange has sparked debate over the relationship between political leaders and the media, with supporters and critics offering sharply different interpretations of Trump's decision to end the interview early.
