Are YOU ready to make a meaningful impact in Downtown San Rafael through a creative, community-driven project?

The Downtown San Rafael Arts District invites non-profits, visual and performing artists, designers, and cultural creators of all disciplines to apply for ArtBurst 2026 grant funding to support innovative, inclusive, and culturally resonant arts programming. Applications are due by April 26, 2026 at 11:59pm.

The ArtBurst 2026 grant supports artists and arts organizations whose work reflects the spirit of Downtown San Rafael and aligns with the Arts District’s core values:

• Creative collaboration among artists, arts organizations and/or community
• Support for creative entrepreneurship and economic vitality
• Multicultural pride, inclusive and accessible to San Rafael’s diverse community

Selected projects may be awarded $5,000–$10,000 in funding. There is no required match to receive this grant, however grantees must demonstrate the project is feasible and fully funded.

Actors 13-19, come out to audition for Teen Touring Company’s TWELFTH NIGHT, on Monday, December 1st! Join us for a conservatory-style rehearsal process and then take Shakespeare’s poignant comedy on the road in March 2026, to schools, senior communities, and community venues in Marin, Sonoma, and beyond! Director, Playwright and Performer Aisha Rivera takes the helm this year, bringing their unique storytelling style to this classic play. Joy Art Highlight: Saline by Jeff Downing, ceramics

Joy celebrates visual-art’s ability to uplift our spirits by showcasing six Bay Area artists embracing positivity in diverse and thoughtful ways. Each connects with joy through their own path—whether rooted in lived experience, a relationship with creativity and materials, or from an intent to awaken a sense of wonder in the viewer. Together, their works form a radiant chorus that affirms joy as both personal and universal, playful yet profound. Visitors are invited to step into this exhibition with an open heart, ready to receive and to enjoy.
