We are excited to be a co-presenter for the Film Showcase for Kearny Street Workshop's APAture 2026! For the 27th year, the multidisciplinary arts festival will feature works from upcoming local artists from the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. The Film Showcase – featuring works by Tianna Mae Andresen, Nathan Aurellano, Elenita Makani O'Malley, Mark Tran, and Kerry Wong – will be on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 6:30 pm at The Roxie.

“Ashima” – a CAAM-funded documentary – will be showing at the Roxie Theater on Saturday, October 3 at 12:30 p.m. A CAAMFest 2024 selection, one of the world’s youngest elite rock climbers, coached by her retired Butoh dancer father, strives to climb both one of the most difficult structures on the planet, as well as their own interpersonal struggles.

Director Kenji Tsukamoto will be in attendance for a Q&A immediately following the screening.

The Chinese Center of San Francisco Public Main Library will be having a screening of Felicia Lowe's "Chinatown" – an intimate look at San Francisco's oldest neighborhood and its 160-year history of isolation, racial and social injustice. The screening will be followed by a discussion between Lowe and SF Poet Laureate Genny Lim.

"Chinatown" is showing on Saturday, September 12 in Koret Auditorium at 1:00 PM.
