We are thrilled to announce The Palace Theater is the new home for THE SETUP!!!

Richard Sarvate and Abhay Nadkarni have fostered an incredible community of comedians, many of whom you’ve seen on HBO, Netflix, and Comedy Central.

Broke-Ass Stuart article describes their challenges running underground comedy in the TL, and Boxcar is proud to step up and provide our venue.

Having a landlord threaten eviction is no laughing matter. The comedians and owners of The SetUp in the Tenderloin (the TL) have been in a silent battle with their new landlord for months with no end in sight. They have been working every angle to try and resolve the issue

Boxcar was very excited to once again produce the annual tree lighting ceremony outside City Hall part of the CCCBD. Executive Director, Nick A. Olivero, directed the event and Mayor London Breed was our guest of honor who led the countdown. The Speakeasy SF house band provided music and familiar performing faces made special appearances including The Curtis Family C Notes.

Doesn't City Hall look fabulous lit up all red & green for the holidays? What a beautiful city.
