Gala season is almost here, and some of the Bay Area’s biggest arts nights of the year are right around the corner. ✨🥂
We stopped by LIVE! in the Bay to share our round-up of not-to-be-missed galas this fall, along with Blake Charles Salon & Spa hairstylist Paul Ghorbanian Hair Stylist who joined us with a little inspiration for getting gala glam ready!
🎭 Opera Ball | Sept. 12 | San Francisco Opera x San Francisco Opera Guild
One of San Francisco’s signature nights returns to kick off SF Opera’s 104th season. Start on the red carpet with cocktails and dinner under the dome of City Hall, head across the plaza for Verdi’s Simon Boccanegra led by Music Director Eun Sun Kim, then return to City Hall for dancing and the after-party. And if you haven’t been in the past 3 years, you can get $50 off!
🎻 Opening Gala with Hilary Hahn | Sept. 24 | San Francisco Symphony
Celebrate the start of the Symphony’s 2026–27 season at Davies Symphony Hall with three-time Grammy winner Hilary Hahn (Hilary Hahn) performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto alongside the SF Symphony and conductor Giancarlo Guerrero. Gala festivities extend beyond the concert, with VIP experiences including preconcert cocktails and a postconcert dinner.
🏮 Asian Art Gala + After Party | Oct. 29 | Asian Art Museum | San Francisco
The gala dinner may already be sold out, but the party isn’t! The Asian Art Museum’s After Party takes over the museum with cocktails, live entertainment, dancing, art experiences, and access to the galleries late into the night, all while supporting the museum’s artistic and educational initiatives.
