The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival returns to the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater (40 John F. Shelley Drive) in McLaren Park with its free production of "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" from August 30 through September 1 with shows beginning at 2 p.m. daily. Additional shows at Jerry Garcia Amphitheater take place the following weekend on September 6 and 7 before moving to Sue Bierman Park (Washington and Drumm streets) for two weekends of shows starting on Saturday, September 13. Another McLaren Park work day! The 1st Saturday of the month from 9:30 to noon - working with the natural resources division of RPD. We cleaned up around Yosemite Marsh. So peaceful & we helped lots of lost people looking for Jerry Day ! We could hear the sound check ! 😎

Cleaning the Jerry Garcia Plaque - Mission street at Harrington
Linda D'Avirro and Linda Litehiser FACE & Friends of the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater cleaning the plaque at the corner of Mission and Harrington in the Excelsior. Part of the FACE Excelsior Heroes Project, a second Jerry Garcia plaque is in the works, followed later by plans to install several other plaques honoring notable Excelsior residents, past and present.

There will be a Community Climate Day of Action on Saturday, June 7th--starting at 9am at the Jerry Garcia Amphitheater. This is a State of California volunteer project There will be a volunteer work project followed by a community resource fair from 12:30 - 2:30pm. There will also be a garden work project at the Visitacion Valley Greenway 500 Campbell Ave. 9am-1:30 pm--check out the RPD eNews for more details.
