Tonight, we're taking you on a musical trip across Europe!

Program III, "Around the World in 80 Minutes," journeys through the diverse flavors of the Baroque, from England to Germany, Poland, France, Italy, and Spain. The evening closes with Bach's "Peasant Cantata," a comic dialogue between a farmer and his wife poking fun at their new Chamberlain and the local tax collector, all set to popular dance forms and folk tunes. Bach himself called it a "Cantata Burlesque," and it's every bit as charming and entertaining as that sounds.
