The Young People’s Teen Musical Theatre Company (YPTMTC) is a performing arts company devoted to bringing quality and professional level theatre to young adults in the Bay Area. SYNOPSIS: She Loves Me, a classic musical, with book by Joe Masteroff, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, is based on the play Perfumerie. Set in a 1930’s Budapest perfume shop, this charming, romantic comedy follows two feuding clerks, Georg and Amalia, who unknowingly fall in love as anonymous pen pals.

SYNOPSIS: In this hilarious and outlandish story, the lives of six teenagers from a Canadian chamber choir are cut short in a freak accident aboard a roller coaster. When they awake in limbo, a mechanical fortune teller invites each to tell a story to win a prize like no other — the chance to return to life.

This special workshop of the soon to premiere R&B musical, “The Day The Sky Turned Orange” will feature original student content alongside the script written by Julius Rea, with music by Olivia Kuper Harris, and David Michael Ott.

The Day The Sky Turned Orange: A YPTMTC Workshop will bring YPTMTC’s director and young performers together with the creative team of the upcoming world premiere production co-produced by SFBATCO and Z Space this fall. A compassionate call for environmental awareness, the story follows a group of students as they struggle to keep hope alive during 2020 Covid lock-downs as fire smoke turns Bay Area skies orange.

Once Upon A Mattress was the first full length musical Company performed in 1985 under the direction of founder, Diane Price. Diane was known for her role as Winnifred the Woebegone, and this year, we honor her legacy and return to where it all began.
