TOO MUCH TRIVIA is here!!!

I’m so excited to be hosting the first trivia night at since their sabbatical, and I can’t wait party with everyone and… I dunno… learn something?

Wednesday, December 11th: The bar opens at 5, and trivia starts at 7, so head@over for happy hour, and stay to play!

I’d love for this to be the start of a regular event, and the more people who turn out, the more likely that is to happen!!!

This is a really wonderful tribute the amazing Mr.Charlie Brown, who passed away last week. When I was in college, Charlie was a nightlife institution and would drive from Atlanta to Birmingham on Sunday and Wednesday nights to host the midnight (more like 1-2 AM) drag show at The Quest Birmingham. I remember her being funny and b***y in a way that was truly her own, and she always had her signature claw jewelry on, which frequently wound up flying across the bar. While Southern drag is often thought of as focused on pageantry, the shows at the Quest always showcased a variety of performers and performances that would have been right at home at the legendary T-Shack in my new home of San Francisco. What a treasure it is to know that her memoir is forthcoming, and hopefully this hero of drag will receive the recognition she deserves.
