Lines in motion. A legacy in glass. ✦

We are proud to present Lino Tagliapietra | Lines of Connection — an exhibition celebrating one of the most extraordinary careers in the history of glass art, inspired by the documentary film Sono Lino. Joining Lino are five artists whose lives and practices were profoundly shaped by their time working alongside him: Nancy Callan, Jen Elek, John Kiley, Dante Marioni, and David Walters — each woven into the narrative of Sono Lino, and each a celebrated artist carrying forward a legacy that began in Murano and changed the art world forever.

Join us for our Opening Reception with John Kiley, Dante Marioni and filmmaker Jacob Patrick, tomorrow June 20, 4–6pm at Montague Gallery, 445A Sutter Street, San Francisco.

Thanksgiving Story… Gary woke up this morning and heard a noise on our roof. Looked outside and this is what he saw. There are a few wild turkeys in our town that are seen rarely - we’ve had 3 sightings of them in 25 years walking down a sidewalk or crossing a road but we’ve never seen them in our area which is across a waterway from their usual haunts. Turkeys on our roof. On Thanksgiving. Unreal! This enchanting encounter reminds us of our blessings and how grateful we are for all of you - our artists, clients, family and friends. Repost from - thank you Alan! —- World class glass nothing else like it in San Francisco. Photographs don’t do them justice you really have to stop by and marvel close-up. Hard to believe sometimes that making these is humanly possible. 🔷 Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the vicinity.

Whisper Droplet by , 16x15.5x15.5”. Nancy’s Droplet Series moves from macro to micro where we can imagine what a water droplet looks like under a microscope. The sculpture is hand-sanded leaving it with a “soft” surface feel. This special finish captures light in such a way that this gorgeous blue Droplet seems to glow from the inside. Amazing!
