The Argentine Tango community has lost a leading lady. Elsa Maria, who with her life-long partner, Hector Mayoral, was one of the original six couples in Tango Argentino, has passed away.
I had the great pleasure of studying with her and Mayoral and got to know them personally for a short while. She was smart, sweet, sassy, and a divine dancer.

Dancer, teacher and choreographer of our city music, Elsa Maria He died in the last hours at the age of 77. He was born in Buenos Aires on June 25, 1944.
