On view in San Francisco: Awestruck by, “Melting Pillars, Concrete,” a 3D rendered short film by from his project “Manifesto Terricola,” developed in collaboration with the Institute for Future Techologies in Paris, France. A part of an artistic document that reveals our current status in economics, ethics, morality, psychology, geopolitics, the environment and art. The work visually raises questions with this haunting landscape unfolding as nature seems to reclaim its space back into its sanctum.
When approaching the future, we may have found your guide: From Spain, artist Solimán López, a conceptual artist whose practice utilizes new media at the intersection of art and science with technology; ecology, and biotechnology, to project quantum and future humanities on this planet. His work investigates the role of emerging technologies in reshaping human identity, culture, and environmental consciousness.
López is the founder of the Harddiskmuseum, a digital art collection entirely stored on a single hard drive with more than 150 participants, questioning traditional systems of preservation and access to cultural content. Check out his incredible collection of ideas, theories, talks and artworks on his website to delve deeper into this unique creator’s world.
