WATCH SPACE IBIZA’S LAST EVER CLOSING PARTY: LIVE

Space Ibiza sadly closes its doors for the final time after this weekend, as owner Pepe Rosello comes to the end of his 27-year reign at the Balearic venue.

If you’re not lucky enough to be on the White Isle for tonight’s final shindig at the Playa d’en Bossa institution, you can watch the whole thing live on the stream below.

Rosello hands over the keys to the Ushuaïa group after the party, but not before Carl Cox, Maceo Plex, Eats Everything, Tale Of Us, Roger Sanchez, Anja Schneider, Sasha, David Morales, Josh Wink, Kölsch, Darius Syrossian and many more grace Space’s hallowed decks one final time.

The Fighting Temeraire tugged to her last berth to be broken up (1838)

This is the last journey of the Fighting Temeraire, a celebrated gunship which had fought valiantly in Lord Nelson's fleet at the battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Thirty three years later, decaying and no longer in use, she was towed up the Thames to be broken up in a Rotherhithe shipyard.

Turner's painting pays tribute to the Temeraire's heroic past. The glorious sunset is a fanfare of colour in her honour. It can also be seen as a symbol of the end of an era, with the sun setting on the days of elegant, tall-masted warships. The Temeraire is already a ghostly shape, fading away behind the solid form of the squat little steam tug that pulls her along to her fate.
