Opening Night is here: Saturday, June 6th!
We’re kicking off Saturdays June through August with fast paced, high energy comedy and variety featuring BATS Main Stage players and special guests.

BATS Mainstage Players, Paul Killam and Derek Yee, will be joined by this weekend’s special guests:

🌟 Amber Dyson
Improv and musical theatre educator who specializes in collaboration, ensemble work, and helping each student find their unique voice. She has taught improv since 2004, starting as a volunteer teaching incarcerated teens, and teaches across the Bay Area including at The Marsh in San Francisco.

🌟 Mark Duncanson
BATS Alum who began his improv career in Liquid Soap, an episodic improvised soap opera. Since then, he has performed with BATS Improv, How We First Met, Un-Scripted Theater Company, Leela, Center Rep, Improv Playhouse of San Francisco and is currently a teaching artist and director in the Tri-Valley.

Murder has never been this improvised.

The only thing we know for sure? Someone’s been murdered. Beyond that, we are just as in the dark as you are. In every performance, the victim, detective, and suspects all emerge in the moment. The audience drives the investigation, flashbacks uncover secrets, and accusations fly fast and loose.

It is a mystery with no script, no plan, and no guarantees, except that it is going to be a bloody good time.

Are you a member of the LGBTQ2IA community? Do you also love improv? Please join us in our first "Q***r Jam" of 2025, where we will focus on making connections, having fun, and celebrating our existence!

Worried this may be some rainbow capitalist nonsense for Pride? Don't be; this jam is created and hosted by BATS's very own (and very q***r) Sage Simms, who just wants to play improv games with her community. If we get enough interest, we would love to host it year round, so please bring a friend!
