At 59 years old, after 35 years of teaching dance around the world, I’m now facing the biggest challenge of my life: liver cancer.

Last year, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 liver cancer.

Today, I’m still dancing.
Still teaching.
Still living.
Still fighting.

Cancer has brought medical, emotional, and financial challenges, but it has also reminded me how much love and support exists in this world.

Teaching traditional Dominican Bachata is a masterclass in deception. To the untrained eye, it looks effortless—a simple flow of rhythm and soul. But there is a massive gulf between "moving to the music" and actually dancing with the technical precision and cultural heartbeat this art form demands.
I am not here to give you a watered-down, "Zumba-style" fitness routine. I take immense pride in the meticulous breakdown of this dance. My role is to decipher the complexities of the movement and the history behind it, distilling years of skill, experience, and deep-rooted knowledge into a format that you can actually execute.
The Reality of the Next Two Days:
• Four Hours of Intensity: We only have a short window together, but I am confident that by the end of it, your perspective will be fundamentally shifted.
• The "Real World" of Bachata: You won't find any sugarcoating or AI-generated shortcuts here. This is about the authentic connection to the floor and the music.
• Zero Pretense: I strip away the "fake" layers often added by commercialized studios to bring you back to the roots—the way Bachata was meant to be danced and celebrated in the Dominican Republic.
This isn't just a lesson; it’s an eye-opening immersion into a global cultural treasure. You will walk away with more than just steps—you’ll leave with the foundation of a bachata legitimate dancer.
