Hi Ho Silver San Francisco imports sterling silver jewelry from Mexico, Thailand, and Bali. The intent is simple: to offer fine quality, distinctive, handcrafted sterling silver jewelry. The journey started 28 years ago with my first trip to Taxco, long considered the home of the silver industry in Mexico. My love of travel and silver jewelry then took me to Asia, where silversmiths have been work

ing in silver for centuries – one generation after another. This site is the product of those 28 years searching for, buying, selling, and of course, collecting silver jewelry. I have included jewelry from the most talented artists I have had the good fortune to work with—masterful designers, silversmiths, and designer/smiths from both Mexico and Asia. These designs range from the traditional to the contemporary and from the basic to the edgy. I strive to offer a diverse collection with the aim of appealing to all aesthetics. My clients repeatedly tell me that their friends, colleagues, and even strangers stop them to comment on their jewelry. Turn a few heads.

Those of you who go way back with me, know that I have worked with designer Agnes Seebass forever - well, at least 25 years. She remains not just a favorite but one of the most revered artists I work and a friend.

She was the first designer I worked with who mixed metals - adding gold leaf and gold plate to her designs in silver. My love of oxidized silver combined with gold is thanks to her and her wonderful designs.

Pim Pim is a designer I met a number of years ago when I was in Bangkok. I was thrilled to finally receive a shipment from her this week with designs that I loved before and a few new ones.

What's not to love about silver? You can oxidize it, you can gold plate it, you can texture it, and you can rock something new every day without breaking the bank!

HERE COMES APRIL

Another shipment got here yesterday from Taxco. I've been in this business long enough to have favorites and/or what I call the basics! And then there's the "brazalete de pulpo"! Pictured below is just a hint of what arrived. Swing on by to see what else came in.

I'm at the shop this weekend per the new usual.
Continue to be vigilant!

As I mentioned, I have placed and am still placing orders for new jewelry to tempt you with. I have to admit, it is exciting - and a relief - when UPS and/or FedEx rings the bell. (Excited because the box got here and relieved because it made it through customs and the porch bandits did not prevail!)

Each week I will highlight what gets here . . . here we go!

Cheers,
Victoria

Hi Ho Silver Redux

For the first time in a year, I've spent the last two weeks placing orders for new jewelry with the people I work with in Mexico, Thailand, and Bali. On the one hand it's so damn great to be buying again but, on the other hand, I'd rather be there! In time.

As an importer, time is part of the game. It is essential. You work on the order, you place the order, then the talented ones produce the order - as in "make by hand" - and finally, of course, there's the shipping. And it all takes time. And it's all worth it.

In the meantime, here I am back in business. Well, I was never out of business, it just took a minute to figure things out. Hi Ho Silver Redux - almost post Covid!

Stay safe, now more than ever!

My dentist advised me to close the shop this weekend.

My second vaccine is scheduled for today.

Last week, my dentist, his partner, and all his employees had their second one and to the person, everyone had some form of reaction.

Rather than taking the chance of feeling p***y, I will be closed.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Stay safe,
