"I shall be eaten by whoever I please!"

Movie Madhouse is excited to present Cemetery Man/ Dellamorte Dellamore this Sunday at the 4 Star, and doubly so to debut this gorgeous new addition to the Pin Squad with art by Madhouse-regular Beverly Bradley (who also has a film programmed in this year's SF Underground Short Film Festival next month)! We think the art captures Anna Falchi's otherworldly presence pretty damn well, and you can take that presence as a present because every attendee to Sunday's screening can take a custom pin featuring the art home with you for FREE!

So rise from your crypts and come out to the 4 Star this Sunday 7:30pm to come face to face with CEMETERY MAN!

The San Francisco Underground Short Film Festival returns to the 4 Star Theater November 14th and festival passes are available for purchase now! For the next week only, we're offering Early Bird Festival Passes for $10 off the standard price, which will get you access to all four film blocks (yes, we added an additional block this year because the submissions were that good)! Individual tickets and our film announcements will be coming soon!

SFUSFF exists to celebrate local, independent filmmaking. We proudly champion the overlooked and underrated, the avant-garde and the alternative, the outrageous, the oddball, and the outlandish. We'll be presenting the silly, subversive, surreal, and strange from all Bay Area filmmakers! From bizarro B-films to midnight movie trash, expect the weirdest and wildest the Bay has to offer, with the night kicking off with our lighter fare and getting darker and more freaky as the evening goes on. Cinematic weirdos - you have found the festival for you!

“I’d give my life to be dead…” From director Michele Soavi (The Church, Stage Fright) comes a macabre masterpiece, 1994’s CEMETERY MAN, also known aptly as DELLAMORTE DELLAMORE (Of Death, Of Love). This Italian-French-German co-production stars British actor Rupert Everett (My Best Friend’s Wedding) as Franceso Dellamorte, a graveyard keeper tasked with putting down the dead that rise each night. Despite his gristly job, Dellamorte is a romantic at heart. But is he free to find love, or is his fate bound to something far darker? And what does the Angel of Death have to do with all of it? Inspired by Tziano Sclavi’s novel Dellamorte Dellamore and his comic character Dylan Dog (who was visually based on Everett), this film is equal parts scary, comedic, and sexy, with surprising surreal and philosophical developments as the plot develops. A must see film, straight from the cold expanse of Hell to ring in Halloween!
