Miss Tilly has taught ballet to the young people of San Francisco for more than 40 years. She has introduced more than 10,000 budding ballerinas (and danseurs) to the joy and discipline of classical movement and music in a warm, supportive and beautiful environment. Eleven years ago, she added theater arts classes to the ballet program and now the school welcomes eager young actors and singers in addition to classical dancers into the gorgeously renovated studios at California Street at 17th Avenue. Her teachers and accompanists are expert at providing instruction designed to best promote a child’s emerging confidence and growing skills and to enhance a student’s love of performance.
