Gale is disabled from injuries from being hit by a drunk driver in 1989, and is dependent on medic

al care from the nearby UCSF Medical Center. Jeanine, an artist and writer, is Gale's home health aide and support. We are now being "Ellis Act" evicted by out-of-town real estate speculators that have bought our building, and are turning it into "tenancies-in-common". The only way we can stay in our apartment is to purchase the unit. Unfortunately, the The San Francisco Small Sites Program does not buy apartments that have converted to "tenancies-in-common," hence there is no support in San Francisco for these types of conversions of rent controlled apartments that formerly housed low income working class people, seniors, disabled, etc. Your donation (of any amount) can help us stay near medical care, in our San Francisco home of 45 years.
