Meet the Pangalay Circle!

Pangalay Circle is a community-centered initiative focused on workshops and in-person dance circles, fostering connections between community members and seasoned practitioners specializing in folkloric and traditional Philippine dance forms. Local practitioners serve as a bridge between students and Indigenous culture bearers, transmitting movement, lessons, and cultural knowledge through workshops and facilitating dialogue both in-person and online.

Their past workshops have explored Pangalay of the Tausug, Pamansak of the Yakan, Igal of the Sama, Filipino Folk Dance Basics, and Vogue Ha Sulu! Now in their fourth year of monthly programming, they are excited to expand our offerings with participation from local dance companies and groups.

You will see them perform at Gongsters Paradise on May 3, 2025 at Saint Joseph Arts Society!

Early Bird Tickets are still available up until March 28! Link in our bio!
