The universe teaches us that someone can feel deeply connected to us for a second, a minute, or a lifetime.

We can surrender to the feeling. Feel our energy together. See if it’s a good fit.

And when it’s not in flow, we have to ask ourselves: What is this here to teach me?

Is it my ego because their story is beautiful and they look sexy?
Am I truly aligned with Source, or do I want this so badly that I’m willing to sacrifice my alignment to have it?

Are they a good listener?
When I speak, do they hear me, or do they talk over me and ask me three times what I said?

Are they respectful?
They may require respect, but do they offer the same in return?

We’re all imperfect. But when “I’m imperfect” becomes a constant explanation for not being present, not listening, or not communicating, what are we actually being asked to accept?

Because connection is not just chemistry.
It’s presence.
It’s communication.
It’s the willingness to meet each other where we are.

And yes, relationships take work. But there’s a difference between the beautiful work of growing together and the exhausting work of trying to be heard.

Should it feel this hard in the beginning?
Should we have to work so hard just to communicate?

Maybe the lesson is not to hold on tighter.

Maybe it’s to surrender enough to see whether we’re actually in flow—or whether we’re working so hard to make something fit that we’ve forgotten to ask if it fits at all.

Because alignment isn’t just how someone makes you feel.

It’s how you feel when you’re with them.
