Turquoise Moose is an online cabochon and metalsmithing supplies store formed by turquoise enthusiasts established in 2017. Our problem was that it is so difficult to buy genuine, unprocess turquoise. And there were only a few trade shows and a few highly priced suppliers outside of our
home state that offer genuine gem stones for metalsmithing. We thought why not build a website that offers fellow metalsmith with the real material and the best price. Tqmoose.com
Tqmoose originally stands for "Turquoise Moose". We love moose, the animal that represents freedom, strength, and loyalty. This site was built out of enthusiasm for lapidary, particularly turquoise lapidary, in desire of wanting to help artists cut the clutter and get turquoise cabochons from the a trustable source. We work directly with mine owners in the Southwest of US, Hubei China, and Mongolia. These three places produce more than 80% of the world's most sought after turquoise stones. We hand cut and hand polish our stones in our home lapidary studio.
