Performers Under Stress In SF since '06, Performers Under Stress devises new plays, combining physical theatre with original, rare, adapted, or compiled writings.

Inspired by the literature of Samuel Beckett, we often produce bare bones. Founded in Chicago 1991, Performers Under Stress explores the unknown, undocumented, unexplored and unexpected. We mentor and develop diverse writers and performing artists, and also reinvent classic works. We believe theatre is an emotionally affecting intellectual challenge, and a tool for social progression towards a more peaceful, humane world.
