Laurent Garnier, uno de los más grandes Productores y DJ en la música electrónica, arremetió contra la ola de nuevos talentos que cada noche presentan virtualmente, la misma sesión en los clubes o festivales en los que tocan. Comentó para Meet & Greet en Francia, que uno se puede dar cuenta del tipo de DJ que tienes en frente al momento de ver que no utilizan audífonos para tocar, pues, "ya saben cuál es lo que sigue y solo tienen ensayado el momento". Expresó que es consternante la cantidad de DJ que llevan preparado su show a un club en el que no es el mismo tipo de audio para utilizar canciones de festival, o la iluminación es distinta, así como la gente que asiste. La magia de ser DJ está en la espontaneidad de las sesiones, en llevarlos a lugares poco convencionales en la noche, no a que escuchen lo mismo que está de moda en todos lados. Laurent afirma que puede estar unas 5 a 6 horas escuchando música en su casa para descubrir nueva música, porque, "ese es mi trabajo como DJ, escuchar y descubrir", ante la falta de compromiso de muchos que solo leen charts y tocan lo que ven allí.
