We just ran our numbers for 2025, and they are incredible!

Artists on the roster were on stage 356 days in 2025. That’s about 922 hours of stage time, which is almost five round trips to the moon! šŸŒ–

They performed in 72 cities across the world. That’s more stops than made in the first two years of The Eras Tour! šŸŽ¤

They performed across four continents. That’s one more continent than necessary to hit a grand slam in tennis! šŸŽ¾

Happy new year to all, and special thanks to our incredible roster of artists. See you in 2026! šŸŽ‰šŸ„³šŸ™Œ

ā€œMy very first operatic experience was seeing Ms as the iconic Carmen at the . Seeing someone onstage who looked like me made my dream of singing at the Met more of a possibility.

This season I have the incredible honor to be the first African American artist to sing the roles of Don Giovanni and King Mark on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera. It’s a distinction that I don’t take lightly and, just like Ms Graves did for me that night, I hope it will inspire the next generation of artists to reach for their dreams, regardless of who they are or what they look like.ā€

The 2025 – 2026 season sees a return to The Metropolitan Opera for important role debuts including King Marke in a new production of Tristan und Isolde directed by , as well as his house debut in the title role of Don Giovanni; both productions conducted by music director . Speedo also makes his role debut as Crown in Porgy and Bess at the Met, conducted by . Additionally, he returns to the to sing the roles of Escamillo in Carmen and Don Fernando in Fidelio, and returns to the role of Wotan in Die Walküre as part of his longstanding relationship with and the .

ā€œThe 2025/26 season is one I’ve been looking forward to with a lot of excitement and anticipation! I am returning to the for my role debut as The Incredible in Andrea Chenier, during which time I will reach my 100th performance with the company, having sung there more than any other house.

And while NYC is one of my bases, I am beyond ecstatic to be singing my favorite role, Loge in Das Rheingold, both in Austria with the and in Germany with the — the latter of which being another base of mine in recent years.

The significance of these two milestones in one season makes the theme of ā€œhomeā€ resonate: while transience is such a large part of a career as an opera singer, one can find ā€œhomeā€ in the places and companies one knows well, as well as finding ā€œhomeā€ in a role that is tailor-fit to one’s voice, skill-set, and artistic vision.ā€œ

The 2025–2026 season sees Brent’s return to the role of Loge in a new production of Das Rheingold marking his debut with the Osterfestspiel Salzburg, conducted by Kirill Petrenko. He will also perform the same role in concert with the Berlin Philharmoniker. Brent continues his longstanding relationship with the singing Steuermann in Der Fliegende HollƤnder on tour in Shanghai, China, as well as Don Basilio in a concert performance of Le nozze di Figaro. He also returns to the Metropolitan Opera for his role debut as The Incredible in Andrea ChĆ©nier, conducted by .

ā€œBoth Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilĆØges and ’ Silent Night challenge us to think about how we deal with conflict and ultimately find peace. This season is a great opportunity to explore the commonalities between two very different works. L’enfant offers a magical, dreamlike escape from life’s responsibilities while Silent Night reveals the profound humanity that can emerge within the nightmares of war. It’s a great joy and artistic challenge when pieces like this come together to create an unexpected harmony.ā€

The 2025 – 2026 sees his debut with the singing L’horloge comtoise and Le Chat in a concert performance of Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilĆØges conducted by music director . Elliot also returns to as Ponchel in ’s production of Silent Night. He also continues his position as a performing Associate Professor of Voice with the faculty.

ā€œOpera is at its best when it honors the tradition of the artists of the past, but also allows for current artists to fold their voice into these traditions. I’m really fortunate to add my voice to three incredible operatic women this season: Aida, Bess, and Mary Johnson.

It has been particularly inspiring to learn the traditions of the role of Aida with incredible artists like Aprile Milo and to work with the staff at Teatro Ć  la Scala on this incredible music. The knowledge and traditions they have passed on to me in this role also inform the rest of my music, and help me to add my voice to build on the traditions of the past.ā€œ .ambermonroe

The 2025–2026 season sees Amber’s debut in the title role of ’s production of Aida with , as well as her house debut with to sing Mary Johnson in and Fellow Travelers. She also covers the role of Sister Rose in Dead Man Walking with and debuts the role of Bess in Porgy and Bess in concert with . Concert work includes Handel’s Messiah with the .
