🥁 Joining our fabulous cello section is another one of our newest members, Sarah Chong! She is a Bay Area native (Cupertino/San José) and is returning to us from Northwestern University after studying music AND psychology! You can find Sarah outside of symphony concerts with her adorable 🥰 Italian greyhound-dachshund mix Brandy, playing pickleball and tennis, exploring farmers’ markets on the weekends, or in an adorable cafe with a matcha in hand! We’re so happy you’re here, Sarah!

👏 Please welcome one of our newest members of the orchestra, second violinist Jane Cho! Jane joins after finishing her artistic diploma at the Queen Elisabeth Chapel in Belgium and masters from Juilliard. Having also studied at the Menuhin School and Royal College of Music in London, she comes prepared to swap out the London Fog for Karl the Fog🌫️ . Hailing from South Korea, she’s played extensively around the globe as an orchestral, chamber musician, and soloist, and we are so happy to welcome her to our community here in San Francisco! Fun Fact: during her time in NYC Jane went on a cookie crawl to find the best ones in town, which she plans to do here in SF. We are waiting with bated breath for her recs 🍪😋

💙 We have so many memories after spending over 25 years together. From tours, to backstage surprise serenades, to baseball games, and quieter moments together, we will hold those memories close. Michael was a force in the world and a giant in our community and we are so grateful for the mark he left on both our orchestra and our city. 💙
