🎼Mila is a chamber opera that sheds light on Hong Kong’s pressure-cooker social environment through the lens of a Hong Kong family—an American husband, his Cantonese wife and their son—and their domestic helper Mila from the Philippines. Collaborated with talents from Hong Kong, the Phillippines and the States, the opera is sung in Cantonese, English, and Tagalog to tell a true multicultural story 🇭🇰🇺🇸🇵🇭

After more than three years of development by Asia Society Hong Kong Center, Mila held its world premiere in Jan 2018 and welcomed over 600 audience members for four sold-out performances. In Dec 2019, Mila will travel to the States, stay tuned for more details!
