"This is the place." That's what Brigham Young said on July 24, 1847, after leading 148 pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley — refugees who had been driven west through four states, looking for somewhere to finally stop walking.
Utah's story is still being written. From the Golden Spike at Promontory Summit to the red rock of five national parks, every family who calls Utah home carries a piece of that story forward.
You asked. We listened. Founder pricing is back for Utah families — Basic $99, Featured $149 — with code FOUNDER100, through Dec 31. Your name, your story, preserved on the map for the next 250 years.

**A well-earned pause. An unexpected transition. A new chapter.**

Throughout June and the July holiday season, our small team worked long days to help families preserve their names, photographs, memories, and stories on the map.

After this intense period, the team took a short and well-earned summer break.

During that time, we were also contacted by the organization behind the official America250 initiative and asked to change our project’s name to prevent any possible confusion.

This transition was not part of our original plans. It required considerable additional work, including changes to our website, branding, certificates, communications, and the systems supporting our existing community.

Nevertheless, we chose to cooperate in good faith and handle the transition responsibly, with one priority above all others: protecting the people who trusted us with their family stories.

Our independent commemorative project will now continue under a new name:

**Independence 250**

The name is changing because we were asked to make it clearer that our project is separate from the official initiative.

But our mission has not changed.

Every story already placed on the map remains preserved.
Every dedicated hex remains in its location.
Every photograph, certificate, and family memory remains part of the project.

Our team is now returning rested, grateful, and ready to help with questions, photographs, stories, certificates, or any concern caused by this transition.

We are also preparing new summer opportunities for families who still wish to place their story on the map.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our independent project and stood beside us through this unexpected change.

A new chapter begins.

Welcome to **Independence 250**.

10 minutes. That’s all it took. ⚡

Hawaii opened on the map this morning — the 50th and final state, on America’s 250th birthday. Within 10 minutes, the first family had already inscribed their place: Hex 011, Honolulu County. Right there on the map, dated July 4, 2026.

That date will be on their hexagon forever. Their family, inscribed on the day America turned 250.

Only 58 places remain in Hawaii.

The Aloha State is small, the map is finite, and today is the single biggest day in this project’s history. When Hawaii fills, it fills — there is no page two.

If your family’s story lives in the islands, don’t sleep on this one.

⭐ Founder Price $99 — while places last.

Happy Fourth of July 🇺🇸

Today is about more than fireworks. It is about the people, families, names, sacrifices, and stories that shaped America — and shaped us.

Not every hero makes it into a history book.

A mother. A father. A brother who served. A grandparent. An uncle. Someone who gave more than they ever asked back.

For America’s 250th, America250.live gives families a new way to preserve those names and stories on a national commemorative map.

Place their name, photo, and story on the map, and receive a digital certificate with a QR code linking back to their story.

For the people who shaped your life.
