The Paul Simon Halloween Ball
Performed by Bone Diggers

Affectionately called “the JRAD of Paul Simon,” Bone Diggers are not a traditional Paul Simon cover band, even though they draw exclusively from Simon’s songbook. Instead of faithfully reproducing his greatest hits, they take songs ranging from “The Obvious Child” to “You Can Call Me Al” and perform them with a similar kind of improvisational approach that the Grateful Dead take with Bob Dylan or Beatles covers — that is to say, by electrifying them with their own arrangements and infusing them with fresh, dance-ready jams.

Founded by Reed Mathis (Billy & the Kids, Golden Gate Wingmen) and co-piloted by local legend, Lebo (ALO), the Halloween-specific lineup will feature Holly Bowling on keys and Scott Rager (Tea Leaf Green) on drums.

Costumes are encouraged!

Katie Pruitt + Olivia Barton are heading to The Chapel next Thursday, October 29th.

Pruitt's new album, Fools for the Fleeting, was just released last month. As her most outward-reaching and philosophically rich work to date, the result is a luminous meditation on transience and grief, connection as survival, and the transformative power of presence and surrender.

Spacemoth’s new album Inward Eye is a journey through inner and outer worlds, blending cosmic psychedelic pop with pulsating rhythms and looping textures inspired by nature and memory. Written on the road and shaped in motion, the album expands Maryam Qudus’ sound into something more dynamic and immersive.
