GAPA Show this Saturday!

Echoes in the Diaspora
A GAPA Theatre + GAPA Men’s Chorus production
Presented by the Asian Pacific Cultural Center
Saturday, June 15, 2024 | 7pm
Z Space, 450 Florida Street, SF
Tickets at: www.zspace.org/gapa

Join us for the newest collaborative production from GAPA Theatre and GAPA Men's Chorus, presented with Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center as part of the 27th Annual United States of Asian America Festival.

"ECHOES in the DIASPORA" signifies the resonance of memories, traditions, and identity that continue to influence and shape the lives of individuals within the diaspora.

With a diverse roster of QTAPI talents, the program features a special vocal performance by Brian Palac, riveting spoken word pieces written and performed by SNJV, Adam Rabuy and Kunal Prasad, and dramatic vignettes written by Dino Duazo and Vince Crisostomo and performed by Estée Longah, Jake Montano, Ben Yuen and Rowland Mendoza. GAPA Men's Chorus will also offer an exclusive preview of songs that they will present at the July GALA Choral Festival in Minneapolis.

Immediately after the performance, meet the artists at the post show reception (with food!) hosted by the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. There will also be a special pop-up art exhibit featuring works by Amyel Oliveros and Ngoc Nguyen.

The review is in for Not My First Pandemic!

“Not My First Pandemic is a deeply personal account by César Cadabes, told with tremendous charm and compassion. Cadabes lets the audience into his life, bares his soul, and focuses on the positivity of overcoming dark times. Despite the misinformation, stigma, rejection, and bigotry, he was able to see the beauty in basic kindness and acceptance. Cadabes’ one-man show is an emotional journey that inspires the heart and mind to imagine that change and the betterment of mankind are possible.”
