Movement, instruments, deep listening, literacy, oh my!

The Back 2 School session of Music with Tessa is about to begin at The Russian Hill School! Our small class sizes allow for a wonderfully enriching experience for your preschooler. Exploring musical interests in early childhood can significantly enhance a child's growth and be such an enjoyable experience. As an early childhood music specialist, I explore music with young children in many ways:

- Simple musical games
- Sing songs
- Explore and invent visual representations of musical ideas (musical notation and beyond!)
- Play instruments
- Move to rhythms
- Dramatic and imaginative play

All of these things can develop cognitive and motor skills, foster creativity, and strengthen emotional expression.

This not only nurtures a child's innate love for music but also creates a joyful and stimulating environment that supports their overall developmental journey ❤️

New session of Music with Tessa at The Russian Hill School starting next Thursday, September 14! SMALL CLASS SIZES for TODDLERS and PRESCHOOLERS!

I've had so much fun with these sessions at RHS. We have explored different ways of creating rhythm, inventing our own musical notation, dramatic storytelling through music, composition, and so much more while building a welcoming community of learners. I believe every child has music in their heart, and I love fostering a community where they can explore what music means to them.
