I'm trying something new, exciting, and slightly terrifying! I've started a YouTube channel called The Clay Witch Next Door, and I'd love for you to come along for the ride.

This is where I'll be bringing you into the studio with me. Think process videos, kiln unloadings, behind-the-scenes moments where something goes beautifully right or spectacularly wrong. Monthly vlogs with life moments, things I'm learning, things I'm celebrating. Little bits of wisdom and the occasional oracle pull.

Starting this week, I'll be livestreaming on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1pm PT.

Pull me up while you fold laundry, answer emails, work on your own art, or putter around the house. Watch a fairy house or goddess sculpture take shape. See what happens when a piece develops a crack. Join me for a kiln unloading. Ask questions. Or just let the sounds of the studio keep you company.

Don't expect polish or performance. Just the real, magical practice of making things by hand. ✨

MotorHome.

I was building a fairy house when I hit a creative wall. Honestly, I was just bored with it. I was riffing ideas with my husband, Kevin, when his eyes lit up and he said "Let's stick a truck on it!"

Kevin has been sketching cartoon vehicles with ridiculous amounts of personality since he was a little kid. He quickly drew this truck for me and I loved it. I had never made a vehicle before but I was up for the challenge.

Somewhere along the way, a mushroom took root on the roof. A crescent moon found its way into the wall. And some little creatures moved in.

At night, when the light flickers inside and the windows glow amber, I picture them tucked into the forest somewhere, done with their grand adventures for the day, reading a book, very much at home. 🍄

Come for the ceramics, stay for the grey whales. 🐋

This weekend is and for the first time, my sculptures are coming together as a cohesive body of work. I'll have earthy goddess forms, enchanted fairy dwellings, mystical snake vessels, and little botanical dishes. The whole wild, whimsical family.

And Pacifica? She's showing off right now. Whale sightings near the pier. Gorgeous coastal trails. Fresh ocean air. Honestly, the art crawl writes itself.

The Anointing.

She is small, but she is powerful.

When she came out of the kiln, she took my breath away. That glaze running down her body, the way the fire transformed her. She went through the flames and came out luminous on the other side. Like there's a loving oil pouring down her beautiful, imperfect form.

I think the name found her perfectly.

She'll be on display at this weekend for my very first Silicon Valley Open Studios alongside four other ceramic artists. I'm so excited to be there! Come see her in person if you can. 🌿

I'm very excited to be participating in Silicon Valley Open Studios this year alongside three talented ceramic artists at Art Space on the Coast in Pacifica.
