In Warped Impulse words, "On April 22nd, 2021, my lifelong friend, Alan Densmore lost his battle with Leukemia. I met Alan in highschool, and for some reason almost immediately, he treated me like I was someone special. In contrast, he's grown to be one of my greatest teachers in the years since those early days together doing what kids do.
Alan was always positive. ALWAYS. No matter what was going on, he would connect to a source of gratitude and spread that to others. Alan touched everyone he encountered with love. He fought for the social issues he believed in, and never apologized for being himself. Knowing that I'll never see Alan again (in this experience) has impacted me deeply and I know that from this day forward I will never be the same.
My heart is filled with sorrow, but that space is also filled with a greater joy from knowing such a beautiful human. Sitting and trying to experience these emotions without turning away from them, I thought how can I best mourn my friend while celebrating his life?.. Alan celebrated life everyday and I know he'd want me to do that.
Today I selected and mixed some of my favorite uplifting house tracks with a message of persistence and positivity in memory of my friend Alan.
Alan I will never forget you and you will continue to serve as an example of the person I hope to be. Alan, this is for you my friend. Rest in peace, power, and positivity ❤"
