Meet JIĀ HOME CO. ✨Asian-Inspired Candle Scents + Workshops a Berkeley-based candle studio creating beautifully made candles inspired by ritual, memory, and the feeling of home.

We were drawn to JIĀ because they are fellow artisans working in the Bay Area. Their candles invite you to slow down and pay attention to the everyday.

For our first Auralaine curation, we chose two different scents:
IKIGAI: for finding meaning in the everyday, and
MEDITATION: for finding a little quiet in it.
Hand-poured in Berkeley with 100% soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance, and plenty of intention.

Also, who invited the raccoons?

🦝In Linda Benenati’s ‘Under the Raccoon Moon’ we see a woman in luminous white sitting calmly beneath a glowing full moon, surrounded by four very curious (and cute!) raccoons. One sits beside her, one hides beneath the chair, one appears above her…and one has somehow made it onto the moon itself.

The scene is strange, theatrical, and just a little bit mischievous. The artist creates a world where the impossible feels completely ordinary— like all the characters look like they’ve all agreed to meet there after dark.

I love how the simple wooden seat anchors this otherwise fantastical scene. The deep blue, textured night sky, golden moon, and glowing woman in white give the work a feeling of a dream or fairy tale.

We are drawn to works that leave just enough unanswered to make you want to create the rest of the story yourself.

So: who is she, why are the raccoons there, and what exactly happened under the raccoon moon?

Auralaine is officially LIVE!

We’re a new online gallery for art, handmade objects, and things made with intention.
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes on this for a VERY long time, and it feels surreal to finally put it out into the world…so we had to make a low-tech card to make it ‘feel’ real.

And because we’re based in San Francisco where everyone has at least ONE side hustle, we knew we’re not the only ones that could use a Celebratory SOFT LAUNCH card.
