This month, Aztec Recreation was honored at the 2026 NIRSA Annual Conference in Maryland, receiving the Campus Rec Innovative Programming Award for the Fitness Buddies program!

Congratulations to both our women’s and men’s club volleyball teams for placing at the 2026 NCVF Collegiate Club Volleyball Championships!🏐 Our women’s club volleyball team won first place, becoming back to back champions🏆!

Our men’s club volleyball team brought home second place!

Mending Minds Week is an initiative of Associated Students, all about reminding students how much their mental health matters. The goal of this week is to highlight the campus resources we have readily available for students. See the schedule posted above- hope to see you there!

We are proud to announce that the Aztec Recreation Center (ARC) has achieved LEED Double Platinum status, making the ARC among the most eco-friendly and high-performing facilities in the world!

Since 2018, A.S. student leaders began planning the expansion and renovation of the ARC, prioritizing a facility that would meet the highest standards of sustainability. The ARC now holds two distinct Platinum certifications: one for its initial construction and now, for building operations and maintenance.

As a fossil fuel-free facility powered entirely by onsite renewable electricity. In 2025 alone, the ARC generated enough solar energy to power more than 183 San Diego homes for an entire year.

With this achievement, SDSU is now the only university in the CSU system with two LEED Double Platinum facilities on its campus.

Join us for the 3rd annual Lift-A-Thon on November 16th! This event puts your strength to the test in two lifting challenges: the para bench press and squat. With each rep, more money is donated to support adaptive sports at SDSU. Help us hit a new record!

Register via the “Adapted Athletics” icon in the Aztec Recreation app or by visiting the link in our bios. Students and Aztec Recreation members are able to join. Registration is open until November 15, 2024 at 12:00 P.M.
