ECG Show Flashback! In 2024 The Art of John Lennon returned to San Diego at our gallery. “The Give Peace a Chance: The Art of John Lennon.” The exhibition showcased Lennon's visionary art, which was always a reflection of societal themes that touched his life. His works celebrate human love and communication, two themes that were at the heart of his contribution to the art of the twentieth century. John’s love for Yoko Onono inspired his work and this exhibition. His art and music made history and with both. John Lennon lives on.

Gloria Lee is always a special artist apperence at our gallery. Some insight into her work. Gloria, always the artist, has experimented with many mediums to include painting, sculpture, leather works, fashion design and modern dance which she explored throughout the decades. After 40 years of artistic exploration, she developed a working knowledge of color application and balance. Gloria's passionate roots combine her love for modern art with a more traditional style. The ex*****on of each composition begins by Gloria throwing paint, a style inspired by artist Jackson Po***ck. After the background dries the she carefully applies the flowers with pallet knife creating a pieces that have a marriage of abstract meets classical. It is these beautiful pieces of art Gloria creates that brings fans to each of her shows! Please join us Friday and Saturday this week from 6-9 pm!🎨

We are so lucky to have Daniel Ryan a part of our gallery family. His work has been featured at EC Galleries, in many cities on the West Coast over the years.

Though he considers himself a native San Diegan, Daniel is a transplant kid that came to San Diego because his dad was in the Navy. When not creating art, Daniel is a family guy. He and wife Lisa (an English teacher) have a seven-year-old son, Sawyer.

To know Daniel’s work, you of course have noted he draws from a respect for nature, he credits from his dad. It is his adventurous spirit that he lives life and that is seen in his art. An avid rock climber and outdoorsman, Daniel, Lisa and Sawyer together hike, surf, paddleboard, camp and go backpacking, and fishing

Daniel shared, “we have been taking Sawyer recently on more challenging adventures that help us teach him how to exist in the world. The images I use in my work correlate with the lessons we want to instill in him. To be brave like a lion. Move with intention like a jaguar. Be peaceful like a butterfly.”

It is this beauty and inspiration that is seen in all his pieces. We are very excited that Daniel Ryan will be doing an artist appearance this week, 6-9 pm both Friday, Aug. 14 and Saturday, Aug. 16. We hope you will stop by and say hello. You might even be able to see some of his new work and pick up some great tips on hiking spots in San Diego too! 🎨

Cool Gallery Throw Back! In February 2000, our gallery presented The Art of Chad Smith. The iconic drummer from the Red Hot Chili Peppers came to our gallery and did a stop during his West Coast art show premiere. 🎨

Ashley Petersen (Ash to her friends) has been a consultant for five years at our gallery. What is wonderful about her story is Ashley transplanted herself to San Diego specifically just to work for Exclusive Collections Gallery. She splits her time and lives in Long Beach just to be a part of our team.

No doubt you have met her in our gallery, but if you have not, Ashley’s knowledge of art is vast. She also has some fun hobbies. She is an astrologer, trained singer, professional massage therapist, competitive billiards player and she is an inspiring author too.

Ashley’s favorite artist is Dr. Seuss. Why? “He can draw and paint absolutely anything. He was friends with some of the great artists like Norman Rockwell, Dali, Chuck Jones and Stan Lee. Ted Geisel (Dr Seuss) was inspired by some of the greatest artists to ever lived and he turn he has inspired so many great artists after him,” she passionately shared.

Whether in Long Beach or in a downtown loft, Ashley has a zest for living and shared that, for her working in an art gallery means you are constantly learning new things every day. In her off time, she spends time with friends and of course her kitty, Jah. One of her favorite parts of San Diego is the beach town, Cardiff by the Sea. No doubt, a San Diego gem.

And like Cardiff, so is Ashley. Thank you, Ash, for being such a vibrant part of our gallery family!

Our gallery is a "buzz" around Comic-Con International! If you are in the Gaslamp Quarter you have to stop in. We are so excited to have artist Gus Fink at our gallery!
