Many of you know that I hold a summer Gilbert and Sullivan workshop. Here’s the story:
MANY years ago while I was in college, I worked for 2 summers with John Reed, the head comedian with the D’Oyly Carte and gleaned every bit of G&S information I could squeeze out of him—just to mix metaphors. He was so kind fun and giving and passed on all the tradition of the Gilbert and Sullivan operas he could possibly share. I am continuing that tradition here in San Diego and have been for the past 11 years, and it’s been an absolute joy!
Please feel free to share the link to the website with any student or potential Savoyard. Any and all are welcome and will participate—these operas are particularly suited for all levels of performer of any age—we’ve had participants from 15-75!
