SDPAL's Member Monday highlights the work of Moxie Theatre! In A Room in the Castle, it's an ambiguous time and in today’s vernacular, Ophelia and Gertrude shift the focus in this angsty retelling of Hamlet. Who really goes mad when faced with madness? What do you do when your only options are to bed, marry, or kill…your narrative? Check out moxietheatre.com for more information about this production and Moxie's upcoming cabaret: Mx.Cast.

SDPAL's Member Monday highlights the work of Asian Story Theater! Catch the world-famous "You're O-K, I'm O'Keefe" Dance Spectacular: the story of Irish-American Adventurer David Dean O'Keefe! See how he rescued an island that barely survived for 2000 years without him - at least until the dancers take over the narrative. Then comes the truth of this very real, probably magical island, surviving pirate raiders, a religious crisis requiring the Pope to intercede, and a unique island tradition of using stone money: disks up to 4 meters across, weighing 4 tons. Yap adopted the real O'Keefe and together, incredibly, they ruled the entire world's copra industry for nearly a quarter of a century. More information about this production is available at sdfringe.org/events/big-money/.

There she chases the frantic White Rabbit and encounters an assortment of eccentric denizens. Alice’s surreal journey builds toward a climactic appearance before the volatile Queen of Hearts, where nonsensical rules, rising stakes, and Wonderland’s signature chaos threaten to overwhelm her. SDPAL's Member Monday highlights the work of Mosaic Theatricals! Morris is a thoughtful, artistic child who loves painting, music, and exploring the world through his imagination. At school, he begins to encounter rigid ideas about who is allowed to express themselves in certain ways, leaving him feeling confused, hurt, and alone. As those pressures grow, Morris retreats into vibrant inner worlds filled with safari animals, outer space adventures, and dazzling dreams. This Theatre for Young Audiences production invites children and families to reflect on empathy, bravery, and the power of creative self-expression. SDPAL's Member Monday highlights the work of Genesis Opera Theatre! Trial By Jury becomes a fast-paced, contemporary courtroom circus where love, law, and public opinion collide in the most delightfully ridiculous ways. Think sharp suits, social-media-level drama, your favorite reality TV show, and a legal system that’s just as theatrical as the people in it. The whole thing unfolds with Gilbert & Sullivan’s signature wit, speed, and musical charm, even for people who’ve never seen an opera before.
