Once again, part of my job is to make things look pretty.
On another day, OPs sent a request. They say, “We need to show the Firebird backpack with the ballistic armor and we need to put on the website as soon as possible and we need it to look as good as the other images on the website.
They sent me two pictures from an iPhone and said, “It needs to look like this.”
Even though our product photographer has moved on, the show must go on.
So, once again, I sent them back what they asked for.
Ya gotta love digital photography - and Photoshop.

Part of my job is to make things look pretty.
So, one day OPs and CS send a request. They say, "We have a new hydration pouch we need to put on the website as soon as possible and we need it to look as good as the other images on the website."
They send me two pictures from an iPhone and say, "We only have Coyote and Cammy but we need black and olive drab as well."
So, I sent them back what they asked for.
Ya gotta love digital photography - and Photoshop.

Hands and Feet – (A series of 26 images)
A photographic collaboration with my wife, Nanda
We worked on this project last month.
One afternoon, a few weeks ago, I began staring at my bare toes over the pages of a hardbound book I was reading. My legs were stretched out onto the patio table and the shaded afternoon light from the covered patio created an interesting view of my feet. I thought about the weirdness of feet. I began making shapes with my feet but that was limited because feet don’t move around like hands do so I began making shapes with my hands and moving them in and out of different intensities of light. Then I got my camera.
Since I couldn’t shape my hands and work the camera at the same time, or for that matter even see my feet without a reflection, I asked Nanda for help.
I would find the shape I wanted to create with my hands or feet, and the light I wanted to use, and she would work the camera and snap the shutter. We would critique the image on the camera’s view screen, discuss the reframing, and shoot again until we got the image I was looking for in my mind. I then processed the images in Camera RAW and Photoshop to create the final images displayed in this post.
