ANNOUNCING OUR CALL FOR ARTISTS:

This year The arcHIVe project and the Alternative Healing Network are joining forces for a “Do Art Daily” challenge… do art, with a theme, every day for 30 days. No matter if it is 5 minutes or 5 hours, the point is to get you working on a new work and to help us begin a new dialog about what HIV means to those living in our community today.

This year's theme: TOGETHER.

There is no right or wrong answer, no medium we won't accept, no project too small, no experience required. We simply want to engage you in artistic dialog and include your unique point of view in our attempt to bring greater understanding to our world. You can spend a few minutes making a sketch, jotting down a few ideas, or you can grab a brush or your markers or pencils and get right to work on your piece. Our hope is to bring a little more art into this world and, hopefully, bring more art with a message.

In May we are going to host a fun, festive, and fancy gala-like event to premiere your work and impress your friends. Hope to make a little cash that evening? Artists are welcome to list a selling price for their work and agree to give back a 15% commission to The arcHIVe project for hosting the event (tax deductible of course).

On this World AIDS Day we remember those we have lost and renew our fight for those still living. We cannot eradicate this virus until we first eradicate its stigma and we cannot address the stigma until we speak up and let our voices be heard.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Artini on Saturday night. What an incredible night we had!! In fact we're still recovering with a lot of water and a day of Netflix!

A great big thank you to our volunteers who came out to help us including Kathy, Ted, Christina, Scott, Teddy, Rene, Theresa, Daniel, and Michelle!! We could NOT have done it without you.

We will be posting pictures later this week of the evening and a little video as well to get you pumped up for Artini 2016!

And while we're at it, why not mark your calendars now for May 7... it may be 11 months away but we know you don't want to miss it!
