9 CIRCLES BY BILL CAIN
A San Diego Premiere

9 Circles by Bill Cain is a searing, thought-provoking drama inspired by actual events. Following a young American soldier discharged from the Army and tried for crimes committed in Iraq, the play traces his journey through nine different encounters echoing “Dante’s Inferno” and descending into Hell. At once an indictment of war and an exploration of personal responsibility, Cain’s play strips away the rhetoric of patriotism and the machinery of the military-industrial complex to reveal the raw, uncomfortable truth of one man’s actions. Staged in San Diego, a city with deep military roots, this production resonates with urgency for American audiences reckoning with the human costs of endless war and the unseen burdens carried by those who serve.

9 Circles will be presented in honor of Veterans Month; military discount to be announced.

Contains strong language, graphic descriptions of violence, and mature themes of war crimes.

AIR QUOTE MIKE BY MARTI GOBEL
A World Premiere
A Hybrid Staged Reading

Air Quote Mike by Marti Gobel is a sharp, satirical, and deeply human exploration of race, power, and the politics of language. Set across a family dinner and drawing from the playwright’s daughter’s real dating experiences, the play examines the dynamics between one’s lived experience, how we see ourselves, and more importantly, how the world sees us. The family of characters navigate a seemingly simple word choice that explodes into a larger reckoning with history, privilege, and accountability. Gobel masterfully interweaves biting humor with gut-punch honesty, drawing out the contradictions of well-meaning identity politics and liberalism, the defensiveness of denial, and the vulnerability of those forced to carry the burden of “teaching” their peers. What better time than today to consider what our words reveal, and what they conceal.

UNCLE SCOTCHY'S BLUES OPERA BY ERIC GARCIA
A West Coast Premiere

Uncle Scotty’s Blues Opera (also known as The Blues Opera) is an immersive, autobiographical one-man musical-theatrical experience by Miami’s blues storyteller Eric Garcia, alias “Uncle Scotchy.” The audience is guided into a secret Little Havana house, where they wander through richly textured rooms, encountering songs, stories, games, and intimate confessions. Drawing on his own life as a caregiver to his mother and father, the pain of loss, and the search for redemption, Garcia blends humor, vulnerability, and musical virtuosity to tell a life’s narrative in living color. You’ll hear blues, feel hesitance, laugh, cry, confront silence—and leave changed. Uncle Scotty’s Blues Opera doesn’t just tell a story — it invites you inside it.

WHITE PRIVILEGE BY MALAINA MOORE
A West Coast Premiere
A Hybrid Staged Reading

White Privilege by Malaina Moore is a powerful and provocative theatrical examination of race, privilege, and systemic injustice in America. Structured as a series of intersecting vignettes, the play gives voice to both the ignorance that sustains oppression and the lived realities of those most harmed by it. Through satire, raw testimony, historical reckoning, and searing dialogue, White Privilege dismantles the myths of “colorblindness,” exposes the violence of cultural appropriation and gentrification, and confronts the generational trauma of anti-Black racism. By weaving together classroom dynamics, therapy sessions, media narratives, and direct address to the audience, Moore forces us to question not only what privilege is—but how it operates in daily life, institutions, and history. At once deeply personal and urgently political, White Privilege is a necessary work of theatre that challenges audiences to move beyond denial and toward accountability.

Contains strong language, racial slurs, and themes of systemic racism, police violence, and trauma.

RED LIGHT WINTER BY ADAM RAPP

Red Light Winter by Pulitzer Prize finalist Adam Rapp is an unflinching exploration of desire, intimacy, and the fragility of human connection. The story begins with two friends—Matt, a struggling writer, and Davis, a charismatic ladies’ man—who escape to Amsterdam for a night of hedonistic adventure. There they meet Christina, a young woman whose presence shifts the balance of their friendship and ignites a triangle of passion, betrayal, and longing. What begins as a fleeting encounter in a red-light district hotel spirals into a meditation on loneliness, obsession, and the lingering power of memory. Bold, provocative, and heartbreakingly human, Red Light Winter asks: what do we risk in pursuit of love?

Strong Adult and Sexual Content; Partial/Suggestive Nudity Involved.
