At 15 years of age, Mikey Williams () has already created a reputation for himself that rivals players years his senior, including being chosen as the top-ranked player for 2023, as well as a former teammate of Lebron James' son. The latter which served to provide him with tutelage from the legend himself.⁣

“Mikey is the best freshman I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a lot of freshmen,” San Ysidro coach Terry Tucker recently told the San Diego Union Tribune. Only a few months into his freshman year, Williams has already received scholarship offers from Arizona, Arizona State, SDSU, New Mexico and USD.⁣

With national recognition—including over one million Instagram followers—also comes the expected high-profile recruiting from schools around the country. For Williams, though, San Diego is the only place he'd want to call home.⁣
