HOLY COW!!! I had the surprise of my life yesterday. I opened up my Ceramics Monthly last night and… I was in it! 🙀🙀 My brain has officially exploded. Thank you so much to Birdie Boone , my amazing mentor from .art, who has changed my life, taught me so much and been such a support. And to my fellow cohorts , , , and , who have inspired me, cheered me on, and been such a joy to be friends with. And thank you to Ann Marie Cooper for submitting my photo! When I quit my job teaching Anatomy a decade ago, never in a million years did I imagine I’d be doing this.❤️

I rarely like the pieces I refire, so this was a happy surprise. A tiny amount of clear in a couple of spots, and, dang!, pretty in pink.

Happy Hanukkah! We used this menorah I made recently as a candelabra for Christmas dinner with my parents and we are using it for Hanukkah now, too. It’s not often I keep something I made for myself, but it makes me very happy.
