Got some shots back from .naugen from last month’s show! T’was a grand time with my best most talented pals that gave me a little itch to book more full band shows. (Ya hear that, universe?!) In the meantime you can find me and my ponytail six inches from River and her potty at all times. Who says you can’t have it all?

PS - shout out for the antifascist fashion. 🍉 thanks to for sporting it in solidarity.

Reading the below NPR article and thinking about National Siblings Day in the context of war-mongering (all those who are grieving their lost their siblings to senseless massacres) and capitalism (mine and Audrie Magdaleno White's financial inability to provide River with the experience of having an in-home sibling). But mostly just thinking about how much I love Haley White

I need to raise fun ds for my artist residency in 🇫🇷 later this year, and I also want to get back into doing the same for wawg, buuuuut I don’t have capacity to record a song a day like I did during lockdown, so here’s my new Mon-Fri joy-sharing routine straight outta Riv’s lunchbox. On my way to get my guitars worked on, I stopped at the tire shop to replace the front passenger side one which looked quite worn. They used the phrase "ring of death" to sell me four. Not so sure I'm gonna get my guitars worked on now, but came here to say if you haven't joined Lindsay's Corner, now's a dang good time.

There’s so much to be happy about and thankful for - first LW band show at the Belly Up on 3/27 (did you get your tix?), artist residency in France later this year (more to come), a fridge full of food, a toddler safe in her crib, the list goes on and on.

And yet. I am overcome with sadness and rage every day, buoyed by the ramshackle partnership of Zoloft and a responsibility to my child.

As I launch into “promo” mode to try and sell tickets to this huge show, I find myself simultaneously doing weird and pointless math equations like:

-If Belly Up has a 600 person capacity and 1% of the child population of you know where has been wiped off the face of the earth, that is the equivalent of 19 sold out shows there. Same percentage for the gen pop, so that would be about 47 sold out shows…

From the time I made this sweater in my backyard last Oct to the time I bought this hat in January, these numbers (not just numbers but individual lives) continue to climb and stop me in my tracks. Do you feel this way too? What are your weird pointless math problems? What is your grief? We need to be looking at it and sharing it with each other. Trust me, I am a grief expert and I know you can’t circumvent this s**t no matter how hard you try.

It feels hopeless. It feels like no one cares. But that’s simply not true. I’m shouting into this futile abyss of censorship because I know it can’t be true. I am begging you to shout back. We can carry the joy and the devastation, the meaningful and the senselessness together, it’s what grief teaches us how to do. Grieve with me please. We need each other.

Hey friends, Lindsay here with an urgent call for community support for and her mom who are fearful of losing the house they purchased together just two years ago.

Many folks in local grassroots groups know how hard Nyisha and Vanessa work in their communities for social justice (, , - to name a few) while also struggling to survive countless oppressive systems themselves.

Vanessa was recently unjustly let go from her job, highlighting ever-present and systemic issues of ageism, ableism, and misogynoir that disproportionately affect Black women and femmes, particularly those who are older and disabled. Unable to meet their mortgage payment on Nyisha’s income alone, they are quickly depleting what little savings they have in order to keep up and are fearful of falling behind which could lead to foreclosure. As they navigate the barriers of securing services (unemployment, CalFresh) and seek out new income sources, they need our support to carry them through this transition.

While Nyisha and Vanessa have been powerful voices in our local activist circles for years, it’s vital to recognize that their worthiness of community support isn’t contingent on their labor. (Everyone deserves to have what they need to survive and thrive- and REST!) Rather, their efforts model to us what community care looks like, particularly when oppressive systems work exactly as designed to deny safety and security to Black folks, seniors, disabled people, members of the LGBTQ community, women, and femmes.

With Nyisha and Vanessa’s permission, I’m sharing this campaign (link in bio) so folks can rally together to help create a safety net of financial stability for the next several months.
