Sadly, today marks the 5 year anniversary of the disappearance of Deanne Hastings. She was my best friend and the person I loved most in the world. This image captures her last visit to see me in San Diego. This was the last painting she saw me working on in person. This was also the visit where she left her handprints on my "10 Year Floor Canvas." I will forever keep them close to me. Behind the large purple piece is an obscured blue painting..."You Called Out For Me And So I Came To You (The Dreamer And The Night Terrors)." That piece, and so many others, were inspired by Deanne. She influenced my work and my life like nobody ever has.

Learn more about Deanne's story and please share. My hope is to bring her story out of the shadows and into the light until it crosses before the right person...someone that can and will help bring closure to her disappearance for her family and those that loved her.

Writing this last night was rather cathartic, living it is much less so. It's probably an interesting stream of consciousness read though.
