“Center Amid the Noise” is officially heading to its new home in Alberta, Canada.

This 5x5” original mixed media collage was entirely handmade by me, using a mix of carefully selected, bespoke papers. It grew out of that familiar feeling of living in layers—maps, headlines, memories, to-do lists—while still needing one clear point of focus. The bold orange circle became that center for me: a visual anchor in the middle of everything else shifting and overlapping.

Knowing this little piece will now live in someone’s space, offering that same sense of calm and curiosity in their everyday life, means a lot. Art has a quiet way of holding what we can’t always put into words.

Continuing with circles collages in the same palette as the last but in the muted colors created from primary red, primary yellow, titanium white and mars black. I can’t get enough of these greens and purples contrasting with the bright oranges and yellows. It’s quite the exercise to create the compositional balance and harmony. How did I do? .artist
