Debemos encontrar fuerza en nuestras raíces. Its Hispanic Heritage month! And we are celebrating the artistic works of Latinx artists. Compiled within are not just play suggestions, but other works of literature and documentaries. Because there is such a diverse amount art within the community, this is part 1 of our tribute. As always, Found Space will always stay committed to magnifying the voices and imaginations of underrepresented communities.

Found Space is proud to announce its Virtual Fall Show Shh...Do you Remember? Written by Zif Ye. Directed by Christian Johnson

Synopsis:“Basically a school play goes wrong. Like really really wrong. “, says the writer.
A boy and a girl are rehearsing for a school play based on a recent event. During the rehearsal, they find out not only the play is fictional, everything they know is fictional. What they don’t know is how much trouble that will get them into.

Directors Statement:
What stories do we tell? How do we remember them? And who are the ones that tell them? These are questions that arise in Ye’s play Shh...Do you remember? The story of two middle-schoolers who have to perform a play inspired by their nation’s greatest “hero” Officer Lee. As many know, the show itself is often less important than what happens behind the scenes during rehearsal. With nothing but the stories they were told, and a script in their hands, the duo learn more about themselves than any story they were ever told. This is a depiction of everyday kids who fall into the trap of powerful forces. A comedy of confusion and misfortune of youth, It begs the question, Is what we are told right? And are our actions justified by it? This leads us to an inevitable outcome of a loss. Shh...Do you remember? Is a tragicomedy in which I see young minds struggling to understand the world.

SHAKESPEARE’S TWELFTH NIGHT 🌙 DIRECTED BY CHRISTIAN JOHNSON.

When: April 15, 16 & 17 @ 7 PM. (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday)

Summary: The tale of a young woman who disguises herself as a man and becomes entangled in the courtship of two local aristocrats upends conventions of romance and gender roles. First staged in 1602, Twelfth Night is one of Shakespeare’s most performed plays.
