Hello everyone!

Since our school year was sadly cut short, as well as our music lessons, we wanted to give all of you a chance to still learn! Bridge to Orchestra has decided to have online lessons with the high school mentors!

These lessons are one-on-one and will take place over FaceTime, Skype, zoom, or any other platform that you prefer! Our high school mentors are all proficient at their instrument and are all experienced teachers.

The best part is that it’s less than half the price of any other private teacher out there!

Our tentative rate is $20/hour, but the duration of the lessons can vary based off your preference. We can negotiate prices!

If you are interested in doing this opportunity, please fill out this google form and we will be in contact with you:

If you want someone specific to teach you, here is the current list of teachers:

Daniel Oviedo - violin and viola
Lihn Nguyen - violin
Anya Sabhnani - violin
Jennifer Tsaur - violin
Larissa Diaz- violin
Ida Mobini- cello
Michael Megally - violin
Taneesha Panda - violin
Audrynne Antonio - violin

Hello Bridge To Orchestra kids and parents! We hope you're having a great summer so far! We also hope that you haven't forgotten about your instrument :)

To help you with that, we are offering private lessons over the summer. Our best instructors can work with you one-on-one and help boost your skills, technique, and repertoire over the summer. If you're interested, please email us or (if you want me to get to you faster) text me at 619-565-4819 and we can discuss rates(at most half as pricey as regular private teachers :)) and availabilities. We hope you consider this! :)))

Hello violin players! I would like as many of you as possible to consider something. If u haven’t heard, there’s another instrument called the viola. It’s very similar to the violin, but it’s strings at slower pitched and it gives a much more rich, deep, and mellow sound than the violin. I would love for some of you guys to try it! I personally love the viola and think it plays a key role in the orchestra. If we could get some viola players in the program, it would balance out the orchestra when we all come together as a group. Also, since we don’t have as many viola players, you would get more personalized attention from me, the viola coach. I’ll be sure to teach you all you need to know about the viola! Consider it, you won’t regret it!
If you’re interested, comment in this post saying so or email us at [email protected]

-Daniel Oviedo, viola coach

Bio of the week: Elena Hsieh
“I’m Elena and am a fellow sophomore at Del Norte High. I play the violin and have been playing since second grade. My favorite piece is Rondo Alla Turca by Mozart (on piano). Some of the activities I participate in include speech and debate, mock trial, and my own reading club. In my free time (which is practically nonexistent in the realm of high school), I like to read classical books or run track.”
