Passover or Peseach is a significant Jewish holiday that is celebrated for eight days. This year, Peseach started at sundown, Monday, April 22 and will conclude today, Tuesday, April 30 at sundown. Passover commemorates the emancipation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. Pesach is typically observed by participating in seder meals during the first or second night of the holiday and avoiding leavened bread for eight days.

Antisemitism has had a long and troubling history. For centuries antisemites have harassed, excluded, and sometimes murdered their Jewish neighbors on the basis of their religious beliefs. In the 20th century antisemitism took on genocidal dimensions under the N***s and their racist collaborators. The Holocaust is over but antisemitism continues to plague contemporary society and antisemitic events are at an all-time high in the US. Join us for an event showcasing personal video testimonies from Holocaust survivors archived by the Shoah Foundation Institute at USC and offering an experiential activity that provides participants with an opportunity for personal reflection. This event will take place at Scripps Cottage on February 20, 2023 at 4:00pm.
