The Lilac Theatre

The Lilac Theatre A drama club created in the early 2000's. The Lilac Theatre was created back in the early 2000's by Drama teacher Hale Maher.

This theatre has been known to send several students to SCPA, San Diego Junior Theatre and the Musical Theatre Intensive by San Diego's Actors Alliance. This theatre also produces annual plays such as The Diary of Anne Frank and A Christmas Carol. They also produce alumni plays which involve alumni coming back to act or tech for this drama club. Several alumni plays involve Annie, Peter Pan, The Scottish Play, Oliver, The Wiz, The Wizard of Oz and Annie.

Haven't been on Facebook for a while. But I just wanted to congratulate the students who got the parts in Mary Poppins AND the students who got into the School of Creative and Preforming Arts
(SDSCPA).

Hello everyone! Sorry I am posting late and I feel tired but if the auditions for Mary Poppins are going to do the same procedure as last year you will need these things:

- A one - two minute monologue of any kind ( I wouldn't recommend Shakespeare but eh...your choice)
-A song which isnt too long though not too short (ex. Tomorrow -Annie)

They must be memorized, polished and ready when drama club starts up in February.

Talk to Mr. Maher if you would more information and how you will present your two pieces during the audition.
